We wanted to try taking the whole family to a Sharks game this year, since just Joy and Brett went last year on a date. So we picked a night we knew Brett would be off, booked a hotel within walking distance of the Shark tank, and arrived early enough to lounge around a little before hand. We leisurely walked to the game and enjoyed the whole game from our seats. Griffin took a period long nap and then was good to go for the rest of the game. Garrett and Bryce enjoyed the Sharks power plays performing the big jaws crunching with their arms. The chant "Beat LA" was an instant favorite, but of course we've practiced that one before for other LA teams we aren't fond of. We even got the maximum amount of hockey that you can get in a regular season game...overtime and a shootout which even went extra frames. Ryane Clowe won the game in the shootout with a great stop to end it all by Antti Niemi. Then we walked back to the hotel and fell asleep, ready for Christmas Eve the next day.
It was a unified front of Sharks fans, Beat LA.
Lightsaber candy around for all of us, thanks Nicki!
Mommy enjoyed the company of Griffin both during and after his nap.
Sharks on the power play!
