May Housing Advancements

Joy and Bryce painted Star Wars on this wall and then the stickers were applied for finishing touches

Farley St. made its debut in the house with a plan for pictures to be added.

Waiting on the final carpentry pieces to complete the look of the living room.

Waiting on the carpentry for the shelving, seat under the window, and cabinets.

We finally moved into our new master bedroom.

The shower ready for use, nice how the water gets warm quickly.

Jacuzzi tub ready for use too, but we needed to plug it in...

Sinks and toilet installed with the first of the carpentry work to come in--the vanity and linen closet.

Our newly opened up dining room, so much space!

Now that we finally exited our old master, the kids moved in with their couch and pillows by Grammy.

Pre-mirror and pre-change in the electrical outlet.

A newly enhanced fireplace and ledge.

Solo, Band, Rick-Lynn BBQ

Immediately following Griffin's playoff baseball game, we were on the run to the theatre for the opening night of Solo, A Star Wars Story.  The next morning, we had the first installment of all boys band practice with Andy and then we took Johnny and Timmy (before he moved to Arizona) to see Solo with us on the second day the movie was out.  Later that weekend, Brett and Joy tried to conquer an escape room with Stephen and Morgan and then had a memorable dessert together at the Creamery.  The weekend before that, Rick and Lynn held their annual BBQ gathering which serves as a nice reunion with the residency friends Joy made in town when she arrived.

So excited to see the opening night installment of Solo.

Andy brings the ukelele bass to add to our band experience.  The boys would cycle between the bass, keyboard, piano, and guitar as we learned songs together.

Brett and Joy tried to get out of The Cellar, an escape room, but in the end, they didn't quite make it even with Morgan and Stephen as excellent partners.  But we had a good time!

We are adding more and more kids to the post-residency reunions.

Colleen, Joy, Danielle, Lisa, and Lynn--residency co-encouragers.

Our boys with Leo and Lucy.

After the pool time, you gotta have a good game to play, like Star Wars Risk

Bel Passi Rangers in the Championship

Griffin's Rangers survived the playoffs to make it all the way to the championship game with the Twins.  While they battled hard, they came up short.  The Twins had some amazing players whom Griffin had played with before like Owen K, Cannon, Cameron, and the twins who he played basketball with.  We moved on quickly after the defeat, rushing to the theatre to see the opening night of Solo.  Griffin wrapped up the season with a .585 on-base percentage, 27 stolen bases, and two scorched doubles.

Proud to finish with a 2nd Place trophy.

Bel Passi Seasons End for Bryce and Garrett

Bryce and Garrett's baseball seasons ended on the same night.  Bryce's team played their last game, losing a close playoff game.  Bryce finished the season as the second place hitter with a robust .420 batting average with 15 runs scored and 9 RBIs.  Then Garrett's team played in the nightcap with their championship game against the Astros, which featured his friends, Tyler and Braden.  Garrett finished the season as the leadoff batter, compiling a .540 on-base percentage, while batting .370 with 18 runs scored.

Family fun at the ball field.

Brothers with brothers:  Noah and Drew.

Final team picture, but Garrett would go on to play All-Stars with many of these guys.

Fresno Zoo Trip

The CC group got together for an end of year field trip to the Fresno Zoo.  Brett and Joy had never been there before and they were pleasantly surprised by all the exhibits and shows.  The boys loved hanging out with their friends.

Anybody see anything beyond the fence?  Who raised their hand?

Our group waiting on the Seal and Sea Lion show.

Bryce feeds the giraffe and tries to keep all his fingers in the process...

Griffin reacts to the long black tongue that stuck out at him to grab the lettuce.

Even Brett got in on the feeding...hey do you know the Baby Giraffe, aka Brandon Belt?

Garrett was a little too quick to jump up to feed the giraffe, our cameras weren't quite ready.

Everybody balance on one leg at the flamingo exhibit.

Who's driving that jeep full of kids into the lion exhibit?

They call this shark feeding...Griffin volunteered, we still got to take him home afterward...

That ray is very big!

At least the cheetah slept where we could see him.

Watching the monkeys have a great time swinging around.

Garrett's 13th Birthday

For Garrett's 13th birthday, we really wanted to do something more "grown-up" as a family for him.  So we decided to try the Stockton Scavenger Hunt.  We arrived at the starting point and found out that we had to walk almost 3 miles to the next point.  Then we were able to do a lot of the hunt near the downtown, before we realized that one of the sites must have been repainted and we were on our way back, 3 miles walk to where our car was.  The only problem was, Griffin had a baseball game, and we were way over time, so Garrett and Brett ran the 3 miles to get the car and pick everyone up at Banner Island Ballpark.  It was a memory.
Just a few days before his birthday, he had the opportunity to show his science project at the science fair.  This was a great success with a 2nd Place finish.

Garrett stood at his science project and answered questions.

Joining with his brothers on his birthday to conquer Stockton.

The Golden Bear outside the Memorial Auditorium was a statue we had to find.

My birthday loot, do you sense an overarching theme?

Send this picture to Adrian!
