Del Osso Halloween Fun

This year, we noticed that things were a little different at Del Osso.  For the first time ever, there was an admission cost just to get in, but this also covered a number of the usual activities that we often paid for and some that we have never tried.  The pumpkin shooters still were there for an additional cost.  We decided to bring Aaron and Kaarli, Kaleb and Logan while they were here.  The new adventure that was available included "Walk the Plank" which was a bungy slowed descent from about four stories up.  You are given quite the spectacular view of the entire Farm from up there.

Pumpkin Ball Races:  Garrett won the first half of the race, but Uncle Aaron won out in the end.

Train ride...toot, toot!

Hands up for the roller coaster ride.

Not sure this was how the giant checker board was designed to be used.

Pumpkin spinners...not for adults, thank goodness.

Star Wars themed Halloween dress up:  Logan, Garrett, Bryce, Griffin, Kaleb.

October Soccer

In October the boys got to play some of their games in front of other family members which makes it even more fun.  Aaron and Kaarli, Kaleb and Logan came one week.  Later in the month the boys performed in front of Grammy and Poppy.  Always a special day to show your skills live after you have told stories of your season before.

Grammy and Poppy came and enjoyed a full day of soccer with us.

Great save, Griff!

Griffin does a goal kick.

Kaleb tries to pull our cart with all the chairs...it is heavy.

Half time at Griffin's game meant everybody else goes out and plays.

Early morning lineup to watch a soccer game.
Thanks for the advice on the comfy new chairs, Frank!

Awana Spirit Nights Return

Every week at Awana is a different theme night which often leads to funny costumes that get the kids excited to come and show off their latest compliance wear.

Look out, here comes a few outlaws...or maybe we will be good guys tonight.

Crazy hair night:  Garrett, Bryce, Griffin.

Griffin 7y6mo

Griffin is balancing between being fearless warrior on the soccer field to being fearful of school work.  He is working on how he can avoid doing things if he can.  We are working with him on how to overcome your fears and be a conqueror who rises up to challenges.

Can I go for a ride in the cart...I am tired.

My pink faux-hawk was a hit at Awana, but it kept me from going to soccer practice.

My hands seem to have a lot of sand sticking to them.
I might be a little competitive with my younger cousin Kaleb, I didn't want him copying my Kids' Menu worksheet.  Something about him being two years younger and almost my same size.

Lovin' on my little cousin Logan.

Bryce 9y3mo

Bryce is starting to succeed at accomplishing more and more of his school work on his own.  He is motivated by getting it done and checking his boxes.  He has also risen to the occasion a number of times and has helped his brother Griffin to finish on some rougher days.  Soccer has been a joy for Bryce this season.  He loves to have big figure battles and it is very important to him that everyone participates or else it just isn't the same to him.

"I think I'm gonna cry" face, but really I am just kidding.
I loved putting all these pictures together to honor Logan on his birthday.

Bryce made these name placcards for Kaleb and Logan that he hopes will make it with them to Sri Lanka.

Ok, you go first and I will cover for you, Logan.

Begin the morning with school work between the two cats I love:  Leia in her hammock and Theo on his box.

Dad gives an assist to Bryce in typing his IEW paper.

Garrett 11y5mo

Garrett enjoyed having his younger cousins out here to visit.  He was a big help, often entertaining Kaleb or Logan or both for long portions of our numerous car rides.  He was creative in how he kept them engaged.

Talking baseball with Logan.

Reading to Kaleb who listened very attentively.
