Commissioning Weekend

It was a quick weekend or the time at least went by really quickly.  We got up around 330am to make our 7am flight out of San Jose to get us to Nashville by 130pm.  We took a hiatus after checking in at the hotel and that it was off to the training center to see Garrett.  The intern team presented a shortened CFaC conference to the parents on Friday night.  Then we took Garrett and went axe throwing in downtown Murfreesboro.  The next morning we were up early enough to make our 9am bay time at Top Golf.  Then back to the Training Center for daytime activities and lunch where we got to know the intern parents better  in a bunch of mixer activities.  Saturday night, we booked an escape room and then went to ice cream.  Sunday we had the commissioning ceremony where we gave Garrett a seat at the (Jedi) council.  Then we had lunch at a BBQ place and played some mini-golf to round out the weekend before we had to get to the airport for our one stop flight through Denver back home.  No surprises awaited us on return this time.

Our "smart" rental car gave us a warning that somebody was missing from our car when we dropped Garrett off at the training center and said goodbye.

RCP Family Camp Week

For the second straight year, we went to camp without Garrett because he was at the Training Center for ICC in Tennessee.  This year we took Caleb with us and incorporated him into everything we did during the week, including our Star Wars themed skit.
