Bryce 5y10mo

Bryce finished kindergarten this month and has really started to enjoy reading a little more.  What used to be a struggle has begun to turn into something he can just do.  He is still our most demonstrative child in almost all things that he does.  He likes to do things that his older brother does, but he still wants to compare himself to his younger brother.  I guess when you consider it, that is pretty natural.

If I were to run into Indiana Jones, he probably would just shoot me.
I helped Mommy design this breakfast/lunch plate.

I may still have my reservations about dogs, but Haru was fine by the end of the day.

I dove into the bush, and I was SAFE?

Griffin 4y 1mo

Griffin received the last of his birthday presents, when his custom, AJ Griffin, jersey shirt came in the mail.  It is a little big on him, but he doesn't care, it is his shirt with his favorite player on it.  He wears it proudly.  Griffin's teeball team wrapped up their season, but he wasn't ready to be done, so he kept putting on his jersey for his brothers' games and sure enough he got to play.  He even batted leadoff in the last game of the year, but this led to some controversy.  The opposing coach challenged his age, saying he was clearly underage, but our coach stood up for Griffin.  The first pitch, Griffin lined right at the other team's dugout which woke everyone up and showed them he was here to play.

Grammy and Poppy came to my game, and we went out to eat afterward.
Can you guess the number behind my back?
Coach Derrick and Darren talk to us about how to play as a team.

I'm ready to go bat, I follow Anthony, since he is number 24 and I'm number 25.

Coach Derrick gave me a game ball and a handshake.
Luke and I celebrate our season and our snacks.

Gangham style...
I'm doing my STRIKE dance.

Before the Superman movie comes out...I am Superman, just so you know.

Bulldogs End of Season

The Bulldogs finished out their season with a good team effort.  Garrett went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs while Bryce was 2-for-3 and put the ball in play all three times.  They enjoyed playing with Jack, William, Jeremiah, Ariel, Caden, Cody, Ryan, AJ, Fadi, Aurora, and Ben.  As well as Andy, Trey, and Abbey who were on lone from the other team.
Hmmm, the dirt on the field consists of about 10% clay...it should be more like 35% clay to be optimal.

You would think Bryce wore the protective helmet for a good reason, but I think he just thought it looked cool.

A final team huddle with Coach Steed.

The CC boys united to form the core of this team.

Mother's Day

We started Mother's Day with a great day at church which we all got dressed up for.  Joy came home with a red rose and a flower that Griffin had potted for her.  The boys then did Mommy's bidding and took silly sunglasses pictures.  We laid low for a couple of hours and then met up with Brett's family in Tracy where we ate pizza and watched the cousins run circles around us.

Delicious Mother's Day brunch.

Giants Game

The day after Garrett's birthday, we drove to San Francisco to watch the Giants play the Phillies.  Before the game the boys played in the mini-AT&T park, but only Griffin got to bat since he qualified by height.  The other two went down the slide and we got our  picture taken with the Giants two World Series trophies.  The boys had a game that night, so we had to leave by 3:15pm to make it back.  It would seem that the Giants had this game all wrapped up, but the Phillies rallied back while we were driving home and sent the game into extra innings.  Finally, Buster Posey entered the game and soon thereafter, the Giants won it with a walk off hit just about the time we were driving through Dublin.

This may be Griffin's last time getting to bat and run the bases at AT&T kids field...he will be too tall next year.

I like peanuts, yes I do.

A view from our seats...the semi-threatening clouds backed off and rain didn't fall.

Garrett's 8th Birthday

Garrett celebrated his 8th birthday with a family day.  We started out with the tradition of going to get donuts.  Then, per his request, we went to Funworks where he chose to do the RC car racing on the outdoor course.  After a little adjustments, he got the hang of it pretty quickly.  Then the event he has long waited for...the opportunity to watch Star Wars Episode III.  Star Wars the Clone Wars series had ended and it was Garrett's birthday, so it was a logical starting point to watch the movie.  Plus, we had lots of time afterward to digest it together and talk about the consequences of bad choices.  Joy made Star Wars themed cupcakes for Garrett to share with his gymnastics class.  Finally it was lunch at Wing Stop, because they have the cool soda machine with all the flavors.

Can you name all of the characters...Han Solo, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan, Luke, Jawa.

A few more characters:  Anakin and Leia added to already established ones.

I got this RC flying around the track pretty good, but of course crashing is also fun.

Wings and crazy flavored soda, can't beat that.

Mommy wanted her picture with her boys to help her remember that she had her birthday dinner at Wing Stop too.

The birth of  Darth Vader battle pack to help him remember this date.

Daddy gave me a ticket to see the Revenge of Sith, and it was great.
