Garrett July 2018

July has been an exciting month: Bryce's birthday, the cousins coming over, winning the Bel Passi tournament, cooking occasionally, defeating my archery scores at camp (97 with 3 bull eyes!!!) and playing x-wing, xbox, big figures, and legos with my brothers.

Hey?! I can see my house from here

Griffin July 2018

Griffin enjoyed welcoming his cousins to our home at the beginning of the month when he got to be the big cousin to his 3 younger cousins.  Sometimes it is nice not to be the youngest.  At camp this year, Griffin was left by himself as Bryce moved up to the middle school group.  At first, he was worried, but he thrived with his friends.

Bryce July 2018

In the month when Bryce turned eleven, he truly still wishes, at times, that he were 8 again.  Of course, we are not sure why this is, but he is finding good reasons to be 11 at present.  With construction finally finished, it was time to begin enjoying the new space and opportunities that this presented.

Comparing his growth to the Sequoias in Yosemite.
Staging a recreation of the launching bay of a Republic Cruiser getting ready to deploy troops.

We need a bigger launching bay, or just need some ships to take off!

Last year, he got a first place boot, while the second place got a cooler looking arrow.  So this year, he purposely got second place to get an awesome arrow prize!  Now that is planning ahead.

Not sure what happened to the backpack attachment (popped?) but this was a Baze Malbus assault gun.

Morning routine which includes cuddling with Leia.

Q'ira attacking the ping pong balls and often jumping up in the middle of a game!

Q'ira decided she had a pretty good deal being adopted and even hangs out calmly inside for a short period of time.

More typical of Q'ira, she expects to come in to play, in fact, she will meow at the door if nobody has played with her by about 9am.

RCP 2018

RCP was full of excitement, adventure, and discovery.   The theme for this year's Family Camp experience was a Dr. Seuss theme.   This year Bryce moved up to the junior high group with Garrett,  while Griffin was still in the Ark.  This year's morning speaker was none other than Sandy Richter to our delight.  We were looking forward to spending time with friends,  blasting people in laser tag, building a bottle rocket, and defeating our previous archery scores.  Grammy and Poppy joined us for the week of fun that we have affectionately dubbed our "land cruise."
