Spring Training Giants

We began our stay in Arizona at Scottsdale Stadium, home of the San Francisco Giants, where we watched our World Champions strut their stuff and acknowledge their fans. Garrett scored a batting practice home run ball and later used that ball to get Brandon Belt's autograph. We caught our first night game also which was a bit of a different adventure, but the younger boys accomodated us by taking a nap during the daytime. We considered seeing a double header, meaning two games in one day at two different sites, but decided to spend our time doing a few educational things besides just baseball. Joy took the boys to the gift shop and they came back with a laundry list of requests, which of course when you've been looking for World Championship stuff for your kids and you finally find them, well you gotta buy it for them, you never know the next time they will win a world championship... We're feelin' like World Champs! Griffin's favorite pre-Giants' home game activity is a ride on the train 10 min north.. Who is the native of the Bay Area? Oh, that would be my Daddy who wore a t-shirt to a night game in Scottsdale. First we get a spot along the foul line, then we deploy my brothers to make lots of noise and drive everyone else away, then I get the players attention, and we get an autograph. Daddy, you must buy one for each of us! I just can't watch... it's TORTURE! Fear the (cotton candy) beard!
I could eat this every day. Mmmm.

How do you like my lunch? Hot dog and bottled water. After we finish our water (and make a few trips to the bathroom) then we could have "lemonade, lemonade like grandma made."
