We failed to produce a February blog page this year, so if you felt like we
cut you off the list, then know that it didn't. We experienced a combination of illness and a vacation that started at the beginning of March during our crunch time for usual production of our blog.
We have had other adjustments as well. The research center where Brett worked closed in the middle of February, only to be reopened in a much more scaled down version. Because of this Brett has gone back to work for the hospitalist group, so we are all adjusting to his new schedule of long 12 (sometimes longer) days mixed in with some shorter (8 hour) days at the psychiatric hospital. Gone is the on-call almost 24/7 for the research center, so he is less tied to his cell phone and having to stay in town. He has also adjusted to the nearly 100% electronic charts that are now in the hospital, so he types in his progress notes and orders when seeing patients. Good thing he took typing in high school.
But now we are back on track and you get two months to read and relive with us at once.
