Bel Passi Baseball

It may have taken longer than we had hoped to get the band back together after Bryce's injury to start the season in the beginning of March, but we did get all three boys back on the field for games starting 8 weeks out from his injury.  Pretty remarkable.  In his first game back from injury, he doubled up the gap in right-center.  He would later beat out an infield single before hitting another right-center gapper for another double.  Griffin filled in at first base when Garrett couldn't be there and otherwise played a stellar outfield, often ranging long distances to track down gappers that would die in his glove.  He has contributed with the bat as well, lacing line drives into the outfield and getting on base via walks and getting hit by pitches.  Garrett has pitched and played first base.  He was the first player this year to clear the fence with a drive to right with an upgraded 34 inch bat, leaving his teammates wishing that he would stay and play summer travel ball with them.

Garrett's 19th Birthday

Garrett's EMT class semester I finished up.

Garrett had a special breakfast and Wrecker wanted to know when he could lick the plate.

Eating before baseball practice--it would be Bryce's first practice back from injury.

An amazingly delicious strawberry cake.

Garrett and Brett went to an A's doubleheader the day after his birthday, got row 1 seats between the Rangers bullpen and dugout, apparently we were on TV for the lost art of scorekeeping.

We joined Eric and his dad for game 2 in the second deck.
We got to experience Miller Time, as the A's brought him in to close out the game 1 victory over the Rangers in impressive fashion, 102 mph heat followed by an 89 mph slider.

Playing a Star Wars computer game together, all three boys.

All three brothers played ball together with Grammy and Poppy coming to witness.

Escape Room activity for Garrett's birthday--successful family mission!

May Madness

May the 4th is much celebrated for the highlight it puts on Star Wars.  Our boys celebrated by playing Star Wars Legion with an Endor scene, followed by Star Wars Armada with the battle over Endor with Death Star II.  Then  a few days later they played Star Wars X-Wing with the flight into the trench run to blow up the Death Star.

Brett made it home from work to pose in the picture for Armada.
