When given the opportunity to get together with family to celebrate a wedding, we were definitely in. We would arrive the same day as Garrett (from Tennessee) and Cindy (from Vegas), but a day before Aaron, Kaleb, and Alecia. We would play a lot of sports. Joy would get to do some shopping and help decorate stuff for the wedding. Brett and the boys would help set up chairs and move tables. We had a Father's Day luncheon and shared memories of our respective fathers. Then it was off to the wedding. The reception ended early for unknown reasons, but the bride and groom were tired. After the reception, we set up for a mortar launching fireworks celebration which drew the ire of the neighbors when we were launching fireworks between 1030 and 1130pm. The following day we were set to depart in the afternoon, but we had one more frisbee golf game in us while the temperature dropped to the 50s and rain poured down intermittently upon us. Then it was back to the hot temperatures of the Central Valley.
