After dropping off his family at SFO on Saturday at about 1030am, he wasn't going to waste the gas from the trip, so he drove 20 minutes north and went to the Giants game where he was to meet his friend Eric. The game was a bobblehead giveaway and Brett got access to the Alaska Club Level museum from a friend. After the Giants 5-3 loss to the Whitesox, Eric and Brett decided to go check out the Chase Center which was just a short mile or so walk south of the Giants stadium. Little did they know, but there was a game going on inside between the Kings and Warriors as a part of the California Classic tournament prior to the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. After realizing that they both really had no responsibilities at home, they bought tickets and entered the hallowed halls of the NBA Champion Warriors to watch the last three quarters of the ballgame. While there was no James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, or Marcus Moody for the Warriors, we did get to see Keegan Murray make his debut as a King and Gui Santos do the same for the Warriors. The entertaining sports day was wrapped up with nice conversation and dinner with Eric's family back in Castro Valley before Brett headed home to a lonely house and six days of work in his future while his family was away.
