While in Michigan this month, Joy was able to visit with three of her friends from college and high school. On the day we arrived, Nicki, along with her niece's daughter Mickayla, met us for dinner at Chicago in Grand Rapids. Afterward we hung out at a park to continue the conversation. The next day, after church and a pool party at Kaarli's parents place, we gathered at an ice cream place with Mary and Matt and their five kids east of Grand Rapids and then enjoyed some time at a local park where the kids played well together. On our way back from Luddington, we took a slight detour to Big Rapids where we visited Christa and Brad and their two sons. Griffin particularly enjoyed wrestling with Jack who kept asking for more.
