Mother's Day

We celebrated Mother's Day both at home and with Brett's family at Grammy and Poppy's place.  This was the big day when we joined forces with Wendy and James to provide Grammy and Poppy with an upgrade in their TV in a combined present for the two of them.  Fortunately, this attempt to update their technology was met with acceptance and not resistance.

Precious Mothers.

What does this clue mean?  I think we are going on a treasure hunt?

When in Tracy, we get to play with some old toys that our parents may have played with...

April CC Events

Garrett wrapped up his CC experience with the Challenge A taught down the street from the Foundations and Essentials class in Ripon.  Bryce and Griffin had Joy for their Essentials teacher.  Griffin had Joy as she taught her final Foundations class.

It may have taken a little time for Garrett to get over the initial idea of dissecting a fetal pig, but then he was ready to do some learning

Mrs Stencil led the dissection class.

Garrett holds the heart and liver of their pig.

Charles and Garrett work together with Jack on their dissection.

Jack, Garrett, and Charles draw from memory the map of the world.

Bel Passi Midseason Tournament

The boys had their midseason tournament at the end of April.  Due to religious obligations, two of Griffin's coaches were not there along with two of their players.  Brett filled in for one of the coaches as the Rangers finished second to the Twins (a precursor to the end of season tournament).  Bryce's team, the Redsox, had a bizarre end to the tournament, losing a 10+ run lead when they ran out of pitchers due to a very questionable ejection.  Bryce was the only guy on his team not to pitch--he did not want to under any circumstance.  He preferred to abuse the other teams' pitchers for booming shots off the left field wall.

Brett was happy to be off work and able to fill in as one of Griffin's coaches.

Griffin got some extended time at catcher in the tournament with a few of the other kids missing.

Brett enjoyed the opportunity to be the official scorekeeper for some of the tournament games.

Griffin's 9th Birthday

Griffin celebrated his 9th birthday with a day at Fun Works and then a week later got his wish to pitch in a game this season.  He picked two guys off first base with his crafty lefty move, but the best was the smile he would get on his face when the call came for the pick off play.

I selected Dickey's for lunch

Who can make the most baskets?  Dad or Garrett/Griffin duo?

Dad, hit it right here...this is what worked for all of us.

Mini Golf, aka Putt putt with all the boys.

Cards by the brothers for Griffin...great artwork.

Posing with my stuff, thanks Mom and Dad.

Giving my parents some love.

Dad made my favorite, Mac and Cheese!

But for breakfast...on a birthday...donuts!

A big figure battle to top it all off.
