Griffin's 8th Birthday

Griffin had the first of the boys' birthdays this year, turning 8.  Our celebration began with the usual trip to the donut shop for a sweet breakfast.  It was followed by opening his presents and then going to Boomers where we played mini-golf and some video games.  We ended the day with dinner at Pizza Plus.  We did most of the celebrating the day before his birthday, since he didn't want to lose out on part of the day with church.

Presents included a hand-crafted aircraft carrier and submarine made by Bryce.

Reading the instructions on his brand new Star Wars vehicle.

Working on the Star Wars quiz that Garrett put on my birthday card.

Lauryn joined us for the trip to Boomers while her mother recovered in the hospital.  She fit in great with the boys.

A hole-in-one!

I found some extra balls in the bushes, do I get to keep them?

Are we really digging our balls out again?

Playing Fruit Ninja with Lauryn.

Last Day of CC Ceres Campus

The final day of CC on the Ceres campus occurred this month as the CC group will be moving to a new location starting next school year.  We really had become fond of the facilities with the plethora of classrooms, the gymnasium area, the maze to find some of the hidden classrooms, and the sanctuary area.  The year wrapped up in Essentials with the Faces of Medieval History Research Project presentations by each child, making for colorful pictures.  Additionally, the memory master and Bible memory master awards were handed out.  All three of our boys received recognition for their achievements in both of these categories.

Bryce as Robin Hood and Garrett as Marco Polo for the Essentials presentations.
