Bel Passi All-Star Tournaments

Garrett played All-Stars under Coach Nick for the second consecutive year.  This time he was the starting first baseman.  Brett was one of the assistant coaches for All-Stars.  The BP 14u team won the BP tournament and had a good showing at the Ceres Invitational which Garrett had to miss due to ICON.  Bryce was invited to play All-Stars under his Coach Vito.  They played in two tournaments, performing well in the Riverbank tournament before entering the BP tournament where they ran out of steam.  Bryce enjoyed catching, especially in the Riverbank tournament where he caught 14 innings on Sunday when they had to go through 3 games to make it to the championship.

Vacation Bible School Volunteers

We helped out with our church's VBS this year.  Joy and the boys worked Monday through Thursday and then Brett filled in for Joy on Friday.  The theme was Sonwest Roundup--cowboys.

Father's Day Weekend

When constructing a great weekend to celebrate Father's Day, Brett considered his options that he needed to frame around the family gathering on Saturday (so James and his twin could celebrate their birthday together on Sunday).  So it all started with the A's game with fireworks on Friday night.  Then we stayed at a hotel Friday night where Eric and Sharon were staying because their house had been flooded and was not in good shape to live in at the time.  So we woke up Saturday morning, ate breakfast, played basketball, and swam with the Jungingers before getting in the car to drive to Tracy where the family gathering was taking place.  On the drive home from Tracy, Joy heard that AJ Puk and Jesus Luzardo would be pitching in Modesto the following day, so it was an easy choice what to do after church on Sunday!  Two baseball games in one weekend, awesome.
